Special Requests:
- Butch Frey (Mexico) requests prayer for their daughter, Andrea who is suffering from an excruciating headache. The doctor diagnosed her as having trigeminal neuralgia, however a second opinion did not agree with that. They are waiting on results from an ET scan.
- Continue to pray for recovery of the Yucatan and Mexico’s eastern states following Hurricane Dean. While damage to major cities was averted, thousands of Mexico’s poor are homeless following the wind damage in Quintana Roo and the drenching rains in Hidalgo.

Prayer Focus: The Heart of Darkness
The label ‘Heart of Darkness’ may seem like an oxymoron. When I think of the heart, I think of life and the source of it. When I think of darkness I think of death, or at least its precipice. Yet regardless of what it may or may not seem there’s truth behind the label.
The truth is that this is an area in the heart of Mexico that is spiritually dark. Less than 2% have confessed Christ as Lord and Savior – more than 98% have not. We can help change those percentages by fasting and praying. Are we willing to sacrifice a meal or two based on our Biblical belief of the current eternal status of the 98%?
As we corporately set aside time this Friday to fast and pray, let’s believe that Life and Light Himself is piercing that darkness in response to our discipline.
Isaiah 9:2 “The people who walk in darkness will see a great light; Those who live in a dark land, The light will shine on them.”
