Prayer Focus of the Week: The Kazim and Greco Families

The Kazim Family–Assistant Area Directors
Paul, Sandy, Hannah(17), Stephen(16) and Andrew (10) MERIDA, YUCATAN.

The Kazim Family

Their current involvement:

  1. Paul teaches in the local Bible Institute, offers his services to the Dept of Christian Education giving seminars at local churches and to district wide events. He also teaches in ISUM and the Facultad.
  2. Sandy, a medical worker, is in the middle of developing a ministry to a community of people who are suffering from HIV-Aids and live in a town outside of Mérida.
  3. Hannah is leaving for college in September. Where will she go? Only
the Lord knows for sure and so far He is not being very vocal about the answer.
  4. Stephen and Andrew are both doing really well in school and practice Judo on an almost daily basis.

They ask for prayer for:

  • Paul needs prayer for the development of new course material that he will use to train and develop leaders at all levels. Please pray that his scheduled participation in the ISUM to be held in Cuba is not canceled.
  • That Sandy be given opportunities to share the hope that faith in Jesus brings with these new friends. Please pray that the Kazims wisely develop
friendships and use their home as an oasis for the needy from their isolated living conditions.
  • for Hannah’s direction towards college.
  • for Steve and Andrew to be able to develop meaningful friendships inside and outside of the church.

The Greco Family

Their current involvement:

We’re back, officially empty-nesters and have 3 specific ministry focuses – all centered around leadership development:

  1. We both teach at IBAS (Bible School)
  2. We’re working to promote and formally begin both BGMC and Speed-The-Light in Mexico
  3. We’re planning conferences and developing mentoring relationships with pastors, the specific focus being on improving pastoral skills and church growth.

They ask for prayer for:

  • Melanie (far right in photo) is facing some significant medical issues. We would appreciate prayer on her behalf.
  • Returning to the field, we are trying to manage the large number of opportunities to minister with the time and resources we have.

Prayer Focus of the Week: The Frey Family

Butch and Pam Frey

Frey Family …have served the Mexico Missionary Fellowship as Area Directors since 1998. They have two adult children, Darren who is married to Amy and lives in the US and Andrea, a gifted vocalist who lives in Mexico City.

They ask prayer for:

  • their health
  • their kids, that God’s purpose and plan be fulfilled in their lives

If you have a moment, write Butch or Pam to let them know you are praying. You may even have a scripture to share or a word of encouragement. These things happen when we pray!

Special Request
The Wornica’s (Oaxaca) ask prayer for their son Lyndon, and his new bride, Rachel. Lyndon was deployed this week to an airbase in Qatar for 4 months. His wife will stay behind in Wichita, Kansas. They both need prayer for protection and for them to adjust to this time apart from each other.
